Single Malt Murray McDavid (MMD) Isle of Jura 1992 16 Year Old Whiskey Bourbon / Port Murray Cask Liquor Whisky

The Murray McDavid 16yo Isle of Jura expression is a unique combination of hardcore Island single malt whisky aged in traditional bourbon casks and second aged in Port Murray casks to give this expression a balance almost unheard of.

A unique yet smooth combination of barley, blackberry, caramel, strawberry and sultanas give delight to the taste buds.  

This non-chilled filtered expression was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2008. Akin to all other non-chilled filtered expressions, it has been sitting and slowly mellowing in this bottle ever since.

Quantity produced were only 1,500 bottles and they are no longer found on practically all whisky online sites in the world, hence to state they are extremely hard to come by, is an understatement.

This is a non-existent Limited-Edition Expression bottled many years ago. Hence, a certain amount of the liquid may have given itself up as the "Angels Share," and the cork for such old expressions has the propensity to break which is very normal due to this phenomenon. Thus, the drinker must practice due diligence when opening this liquid gold bottle.

Take note that these expressions are sold in "as is" condition due to their age.
