Jim McEwan's Celtic Heartlands Range

Jim McEwan's name is synonymous with uniqueness, daring, thinking out of the box, and master of the black arts of whisky distillation.

For the Celtic Heartlands range, exceptional barrels of different distilleries are filled and aged almost to perfection.

These barrels were then filled in beautiful glass decanters, marked with a Gaelic symbol.

The glass carafe is firmly embedded in a noble black chest made from wood and covered with faux leather with hinge and magnetic latch.

Cameronbridge

In 1824, a certain Mr John Haig founded the Cameronbridge Grain Whisky Distillery that was the largest and probably the oldest of its kind in Scotland.

Jim McEwan believes the Cameronbridge expression which is the oldest Grain Distillery can stand shoulder to shoulder with virtually any other single malt whisky of similar age, yet maintaining its own unique character and style.

This is a non-existent Limited-Edition Expression and only 1,600 decanters matured in American Oak Casks were ever produced in 2007, making this expression extremely rare as a four leaf clover. It is bottled at cask strength (48.3% alc content) to show the seriousness of this expression.

As per standard requirements of Jim McEwan, this expression is non-chilled filtered and colouring free.

There are only two bottles, number 574 and 580 for sale and the prices have been adjusted according to the Angels Share.

A certain amount of the liquid may have given itself up as the "Angels Share," and the cork for such old expressions has the propensity to break which is very normal due to this phenomenon. Thus, the drinker must practice due diligence when opening this liquid gold bottle.

Regardless of how well an expression is stored, age has no boundaries, and faux leather has a finite lifespan, hence the faux leather casing is cracked in almost all parts of the box, and the lined interior has also faded to a certain extent. However, these imperfections have somewhat given this expression an authentic feel to its genuine age.

Take note that these expressions are sold in "as is" condition due to their age.
