Single Malt Murray McDavid (MMD) Bowmore 2000 7 Year Old Whiskey Sherry Cask Liquor Whisky

Following the success of the 10yo Bowmore 1999 Bourbon/Syrah expression, Jim McEwan created the Bowmore 2000 Sherry Cask that became the forefather of the future world renowned Bruichladdich Port Charlotte and Octomore expressions. Many other Islay distilleries soon followed suit.

Jim also proved that a good dram does not have to be heavily aged, hence again, he revolutionised the whisky industry as other major distilleries soon followed suit and are now producing non aged single malt whiskies to cater to the insatiable single malt whisky demand worldwide.

The MMD 7yo Bowmore Sherry Cask is a classic peat smoked single malt laced with apricot, burnt orange, pear with a plum aftertaste. In short, the finish is immaculate and mind boggling.

Only 2,450 bottles of this non-chilled filtered expression were produced and most no longer exist.

This is a non-existent Limited-Edition Expression bottled many years ago. Hence, a certain amount of the liquid may have given itself up as the "Angels Share," and the cork for such old expressions has the propensity to break which is very normal due to this phenomenon. Thus, the drinker must practice due diligence when opening this liquid gold bottle.

Take note that these expressions are sold in "as is" condition due to their age.
