Titoni was founded by Fritz Schluep in 1919 in Grenchen, Switzerland. The company initially operated under the name "Felco," and it started as a family business specializing in the production of watchcases. The brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship began during these formative years.

In 1952, Fritz Schluep's son, Fritz Schluep II, took over the business and decided to rename the company Titoni. This change marked a new chapter in the company's history, and it coincided with the brand's entry into the international watch market.

In 1962, Titoni introduced the Titoflex bracelet, a flexible and comfortable stainless steel bracelet designed for its watches. This innovation contributed to the brand's recognition and success.

Titoni expanded its presence in the global market throughout the 1970s. The brand gained recognition for its commitment to quality and precision, and it became known for producing classic and elegant timepieces.

Titoni's introduced the Airmaster collection in the mid-20th century that has been one of the brand's most prominent and enduring lines. The Airmaster watches are characterized by their timeless design and reliability.

Titoni has remained a family-owned company and still operates as an independent Swiss watch manufacturer. This continuity has allowed the brand to maintain its values and commitment to excellence over the decades.

Here we have the famous February 1965 Titoni Airmaster Rotomatik 805-355 Incabloc 25J Mechanical timepiece in excellent condition.

The silvery-white dial, baton indices & hands, and date window were given a thorough clean-up and are now in near-mint condition.

The cylindrical shaped silver case with dogleg lugs underwent ultrasonic cleaning and were intentionally left unpolished to maintain in vintage-ness. The crystal is original and was given a good polish and is now near-mint condition.

The crown is located at the traditional 3H position and is easily accessible. The date and time quickset is via the traditional method of pulling out the crown to the first and second level for date and time adjustment respectively.

The movement was carefully stripped and cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 4 December 2023. In short, it underwent an overhaul and not a basic servicing. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the iconic incabloc 805 movement, it has 25 Jewels that operate at 18,000 beats per hour (BPH) giving it excellent accuracy and longevity. The time-grapher, after 60 hours of calibration, shows excellent readings i.e. rate of 0 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 206 with an impressive straight line! Such readings are extremely exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve and longevity for such a vintage timepiece, the meticulous care provided over the years, and of course the painstaking calibration conducted.

The case width and height are 36mm (without crown) and 39mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 21.0cm; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

This watch comes with a brand-new hi-quality genuine leather strap with silver buckle. 

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided shows the watch case in excellent condition, and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been de-magnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. An aftermarket box or purposeful carrying case will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same models in the market, BUT almost all are not overhauled and well maintained as what you see here. Hence, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind watch will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in February 1965. Another no-brainer is the fact that the value of this watch will appreciate over time.

Do also bear in mind that it will cost between S$ 180.00 to S$ 200.00 for a proper overhaul, an estimated S$ 80.00 to calibrate (depending on watch condition), and S$ 100.00 to polish the entire watch including tightening of bracelet links - these costs do not apply when purchasing this timepiece. So, if anyone was to sell such a timepiece at a low price yet claim that it has been serviced, one has to ask what kind of servicing was conducted, if any.

This is a highly sort-after Titoni Airmaster Rotomatik Incabloc 805-355 in excellent condition; so, be unique and wear something that is almost impossible to source.
