This Omega Geneve Dynamic Tool 107 Cal 565 is an extremely rare timepiece produced by Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega. This oval shaped case with a dial that mimics an eye with pupil is simply stunning.

The Tool 107 (Cal 552) was officially launched in 1967 and its cutting edge design allowed the automatic Omega watches to still fly off the shelves in a blink of an eye (excuse the pun)! This was quickly followed by the introduction of the Tool 107 (Cal 565) with date and quickset capabilities. This particular timepiece (Cal 565) equipped with date c/w quickset was produced in 1968.

Here we have an overhauled Omega Geneve Dynamic Tool 107 Cal 565 Automatic with Hand Winding capabilities in stunning condition.

A good and thorough clean-up revealed a beautifully preserved two-tone dial with white markers, white baton hands and a second hand in blue.

Its classy and stylish eye-shaped silver case was buffed as best as possible without compromising its shape, lines and brushed finish albeit a few minor scratches that are barely noticeable. The original crystal was given a good buff and is in near mint condition now.

The signed crown is located at the traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

The movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 18 April 2025; hence it underwent an overhaul and not a general servicing. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the 565 movement made from copper-plated beryllium-bronze, it has 24 Jewels and operate at 19,800 BPH. The time-grapher, after hours of calibration, shows superb readings of +1 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 236 with a consistent straight line! Such readings are extremely exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve, the meticulous care provided over the years, and expert calibration.

The case width and height are approx. 42.3mm (w/o crown) and 36.2mm respectively. The leather strap can accommodate wrists up to 19cm.

The timepiece comes with its original Omega Signed Genuine Leather Strap with original buckle. However, due to its badly conditioned state, a brand new aftermarket genuine leather strap will be part of the deal.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Omega components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested even though the seals are present.

The pictures provided shows the watch in near mint condition. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. An aftermarket box or purposeful carrying case will be provided instead.

This very rare watch will make a beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in 1968, and its value will appreciate over time.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and preserved for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.
