Armagnac, the oldest French Brandy is obtained through the distillation of white wines of the Gascony region.

Aged for years in casks, it develops fabulous flavours and aromas. Formerly called ‘ardent water’ or ‘immortality water,' Armagnac became famous in the middle ages for its therapeutic qualities.

Consumed in moderation, this Armagnac feeds, stimulates and delights the spirit. After all, Armagnac gave stamina to the musketeers of Armagnac and to the cadets of Gascogne, didn’t it!?

Our house owns the most important collection of old vintages; the majority is kept in our storehouses, quietly waiting for the delicate moment of bottling. The oldest vintage goes back to 1888!

Armagnac, like cognac is divided into categories depending on the age and vintage, however, cognac has decided not to follow this protocol but Armagnac continues to do so. VS (Ver Special) is normally non-aged; ours is 2-3 years minimum. VSOP (Very Special Old Par) is normally 5 years; ours is 10 years. XO (Extra Old) is normally 6 years old; ours is 20 years old.

These bottles were bottled almost 15 years ago and they have further mellowed nicely. Hence, a certain amount of the liquid may have given itself up as the "Angels Share," and the cork for such old expressions has the propensity to break which is very normal due to this phenomenon. Thus, the drinker must practice due diligence when opening this liquid gold bottle.

Take note that these expressions are sold in "as is" condition due to their age.
