Vulcain was founded in 1858 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by the Ditisheim family. Originally known as Ditisheim Frères, the company quickly earned a reputation for producing high-quality pocket watches with in-house movements.

By the 1920s and 1930s Vulcain was respected alongside brands like:

For Vulcain Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a gorgeous circa 1920s Vulcain Chronometer Small Seconds 15J Mechanical Timepiece is stunning condition.

This very rare Vulcain vintage has a pearl white Porcelain dial with painted Arabic Numerals, Breguet Hands and a Small Seconds Layout.

Careful cleaning was performed that brought out their stunning condition, and the crystal glass is also in excellent condition after a good polish albeit scratches do remain.

The classical designed case was buffed to remove age marks and miniscule hairline scratches caused by aging and is in stunning condition albeit scratch marks do remain as well.

The crown is located at the traditional 3H positions and tucked away nicely to prevent damage or snags.

The movement was given a good clean-up on 31 July 2026. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

It is equipped with 15 Jewels whilst operating at 18,000 BPH. The timing shows approximately 22 seconds deviation daily which is well within the 30 second requirements by brand new modern automatic watch standards.

The case width and height are approximately 27.4mm (without crown) and 33.8mm respectively. The lug width is 15mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 16.5cm; thus, this watch is suitable for men and women.

A vintage hand-stitched broad width genuine leather strap accompanies this watch as part of the deal.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Vulcain components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided show the watch in excellent condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided.
