Seiko Epson Corporation, commonly known as Seiko, acquired the Orient Watch Company in 2009. This acquisition allowed Seiko to expand its presence in the watch industry and further diversify its product offerings.

Orient Watch Company is known for its own line of watches and has a history of producing affordable and well-regarded mechanical timepieces. Thereby, this watch was produced before the acquisition and is thus a Collectible!

For Orient Collectors and Vintage fans, this is an Orient G429-3345OCT CA-Chrono Ace Two-Tone Silverado Silver / Grey Dial in stunning condition. This is a Collectible.

The dial, hands, markers and day/date window were given a good clean-up to reveal a rainbow designed seashell dial, 3D Baton Indices and Hands in stunning condition.

The case was given a deep clean-up and polish. The crystal was also polished and is now in near mint condition. Do note that miniscule hairline scratches are still present on the original crystal glass and case. 

The crowns are located at the 2H and 3H position. The 2H crown is used for date change whilst the 3H crown is used to adjust the hands. There is no quick change for the day.

Because this is strictly a JDM model, the Day is only in Kanji. Cool!

Its movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated in on 15 July 2026. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with Orient's famous G429 movement, it has 27 jewels and operates at 21,600 BPH. The timing shows approximately 23 seconds deviation daily which is well within the 30 second requirements for by brand new modern automatic watch standards.

The case width and height are approximately 36.3mm (without crown), and 38.5mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 16.5cm; thus, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

The SS bracelet is an original Orient signed Super Engineer Designed bracelet designed for this particular model. It too underwent ultrasonic cleaning and a good polish and is now in stunning condition albeit scratches do remain.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Orient components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided show the watch in excellent condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation, and it comes in a simple no brand box.

Seldom can one find a vintage watch that offers this and more. Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, but none are as well-kept and maintained as what you see here, and with an attractive price to boot. So, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind watch will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone.
