Féro & Cie was founded by Roger Ferner in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, prior to World War I. The brand name "Fero" is derived from the founder's name, combining the first two letters of his surname and given name (FErner ROger).
Initially, the company produced watches under various brand names, including Ceneri, Farad, Ferio, Hello, Legation, Maloja, Pantheon, and Tango. In the 1950s, the company underwent a rebranding to Fero Feldmann, with operations based in Wolfwil, Switzerland.
Fero watches were known for their distinctive case designs and utilized movements from reputable Swiss manufacturers such as Anton Schild, Bettlach, and FHF. However, like many small Swiss watchmakers, Fero Feldmann ceased operations during the quartz crisis of the late 1970s.
Here we have a highly sort-after circa 1960s Fero Feldman Divers 17J Mechanical Timepiece in NOS condition. IT IS NOS BECAUSE THE DIA DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO THE EXACT LOCATION THEREBY MAKING THIS AM EXTREMELY RARE TIMEPIECE.
A good and thorough clean-up revealed a beautifully preserved Sunburst Silver Dial, Black + Red Markers with Quasi Baton White Hands.
Its classy and stylish super slim case was buffed as best as possible without compromising its shape and lines albeit miniscule scratches that are barely noticeable. The original mineral crystal was buffed and is in good condition albeit miniscule scratches are still present.
There are 2 crowns located at the 2H and 3H position. The 2H crown is used for the inner dial setting and can be locked in place which is very efficient and proper of a diver's watch. The 3H unsigned crown is easily accessible. The quick time-set is adjusted via the traditional method of uncorking the crown and turning the crown accordingly.
The mechanical movement was carefully stripped, meticulously cleaned, oiled, re-assembled, and calibrated on 9 December 2025. In short, it was given a thorough servicing and should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby giving the owner peace of mind.
Equipped with the high grade and highly prized Swiss Mechanical movement, it has 17 Jewels and operate at 18,000 BPH. The time-grapher shows stunning readings of 0 seconds and amplitude of 299 with a relatively straight line! Such readings are truly exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, the meticulous care provided over the years, and expert calibration.
The case width and height are approximately 39.7mm (w/o crown) and 46.2mm respectively. The lug width is 19mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 18cm, thus suitable for men and women.
The timepiece comes with a brand vintage designed Marumann Japan Super Engineer SS bracelet with silver buckle.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.
The pictures provided shows the watch in MINT condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box, so a simple aftermarket box / pouch will be provided instead.
This extremely rare watch will make a beautiful birthday present for that special someone, and its value will appreciate over time.
Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life and should be cherished and preserved for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.
Because it is extremely rare, this 17J Fero Feldman Diver's Mechanical Movement is not easily found on auction and online sites.
Do also bear in mind that it will cost between S$ 180.00 to S$ 200.00 for a thorough servicing, and an estimated S$ 100.00 to calibrate, and S$ 40.00 to clean and buff the case - these costs do not apply when purchasing this timepiece. So, if anyone was to sell such a timepiece at a low price yet claim that it has been serviced, one has to ask what kind of servicing was conducted, if any.
This is a highly sort-after Fero Feldman Diver's Mechanical in mint condition; so, be unique and wear a cult watch that is almost impossible to source in such fine condition or purchase it for that special someone instead.
