The 7 time F1 World Champion needs no introduction. His feats on the F1 circuit is legendary, so much so that his first year at Ferrari saw him clinch his first world title in style.

To commemorate this achievement, Ferrari and Omega teamed up to create the Michael Schumacher Omega Speedmaster Chronograph Watch.

Its Ferrari Red face and leather strap is eye catching, and only 1,500 units were produced.

Here we have a second re-edition of this famous watch in MINT condition.

It's dial, markers and hands were given a thorough cleaning and are now in mint condition.

Its silver case was also thoroughly cleaned and buffed as best as possible without compromising its shape and lines albeit a few miniscule scratches that are barely noticeable. The crystal is original and was also given a good buff.

The crowns is located at the traditional 2H, 3H and 4H positions and are easily accessible.

The movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 13 July 2024. In short, it was given a full restoration and not a standard touch-up service, and should be able to operate without hinderance until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the well revered 2890 movement, it has 45 Jewels and operate at a high-beat 28,800 BPH. The time-grapher, after hours of calibration, shows superb readings of 0 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 205 with a straight centered line! Such readings are truly exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve, the meticulous care provided over the years, and the painstaking expert calibration conducted.

The case width and height are approximately 39mm (w/o crown) and 44.5mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the leather strap can accommodate wrists up to 20.0cm; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

The Ferrari Red watch strap is brand new and all relevant documentation that came with the watch are also present, so too the faux leather pouch but I must say that time has not been kind to this pouch that has somewhat cracked. A black/red NATO strap will also accompany this timepiece.

The watch comes with a red silk carrying bag, and a unique watch housing in the shape of two (2) F1 Wheels that can be opened via a winged nut to showcase the watch within. The wheels have the Omega logo on one wheel while the other has Michael's signature.

The original white box with barcode is also a part of the package. The original certificate card whose numbers correspond to the original white box confirms authenticity of the watch and its origins.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested even though all seals are present.

The pictures provided shows the watch in mint condition, and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and preserved for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, BUT none as beautifully aged and as well maintained as what you see here.
