According to most legitimate online information available, the Seiko 5126 movement made its debut in 1967 and ceased production circa 1971. So, it is safe to assume that this June 1967 watch is from the earliest batch of Seiko 5's ever produced with the 5126 movement.

Furthermore, its "AD"(Applied Dial) status makes it even more worthwhile to own; but more importantly, the model number (5126-7010) is found in the EXACT FORMAT on both DIAL and CASE-BACK which is the holy grail for many vintage watch collectors, making this timepiece a highly sort-after Collectible.

For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is one of the earliest Seiko 5 5126 DAINI ever produced with MATCHING MODEL NUMBER ON DIAL AND CASE-BACK.

After a good clean-up, this handsome Seiko 5 radiates an immaculately preserved reflective Silver Sunburst Dial creates a silvery-white two-tone effect from certain angles which is extremely pleasing to the eye. The 3D silver baton indices, reflective chapter ring, date / day window and silver hands are near mint-condition after a good clean-up as well.

The classical one piece silver case was buffed as best as possible; however, there may be some miniscule hairline scratches present.

The crown is located at the traditional 4H position and is easily accessible yet it is nicely tucked away to prevent damage or snags. The date quickset works flawlessly by pushing the crown in to adjust the date. The time is adjusted by pulling the crown out and adjusting accordingly. The day quickset is via turning the hands backwards and forwards past midnight.

The movement was overhauled and calibration conducted on 10 June 2024. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the highly revered 5126 movement, it has 23 Jewels that operate at 19,800 BPH. The time-grapher shows excellent readings of -2 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 220 in a straight and centered line! Such readings are truly exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, the meticulous care provided over the years, and the painstaking calibration conducted.

The case width and height are approximately 39.5mm (w/o crown) and 41mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 21cm; hence, suitable for men and the modern women.

A brand new vintage designed saddle brown with white stitching and silver buckle genuine leather strap with built-in quick release spring bars was chosen to emphasize the silver case and dial, and is extremely comfortable to wear.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided shows the watch in pristine condition (no dents and major scratches). It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A brand new EVA pouch is provided instead.

Seldom can one find a vintage watch that offers this and more. Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, BUT none are as well-kept and maintained as what you see here, and with an attractive price to boot.
