One may think that they are seeing double when they look at this coin.... but they are not because this coin was uniquely struck when being minted thus creating an obvious symmetrical "double rim" or lip effect which is easily seen by the naked eye.
Thus, this "double rim imperfection" coin has an almost perfect inner rim slopping inwards without damage to the coin itself makes this coin a sight to behold.
To say that this is a one-in-a-million struck coin is being conservative, and it is more likely a one-in-a-BILLION coin we have here due to its "perfect imperfection" or "Imperfect perfection" which the Japanese calls Wabi-Sabi (for timepieces). Hence, the asking price is rather conservative to say the least.
This 1971 coin comes in a mini Jewellery Display Stand.
