Founded by Ariste Calame in Le Locle, Switzerland, Zodiac Watches is a Swiss watch brand with a rich history dating back to 1882. The brand name "Zodiac" was officially registered in 1908. Over the years, Zodiac has been recognized for its innovations in watchmaking, including the introduction of the Sea Wolf in 1953, one of the first purpose-built dive watches marketed to the masses that has a dive depth of 430ft. Zodiac introduced the Super Sea Wolf, with enhanced water resistance up to 750 meters, that adopted by U.S. Navy SEALs.

For Zodiac Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a N.O.S. Zodiac ZO2225 Sea Dragon Diver's Watch launched in circa 2000. The Sea Dragon can trace its roots to the 1960s as part of its dive and sport watch range. The ZO2225 reference in particular is not in current production thereby making it a Collectible.

Specialized releases or limited editions in the Sea Dragon family (different references) have appeared across later years as well — for example, a limited-edition Sea Dragon collection was showcased in 2013

The canary-yellow dial, 3D luminous Baton Indices, Baton Hands, Date window, and chapter ring are in stunning condition after a good clean-up.

This case is in near mint condition with its sharp lines and is beautifully maintained albeit miniscule scratches are present but barely noticeable. It was given a good clean-up to remove most imperfections without compromising the case shape and lines. The crystal was polished and is now in near mint condition.

The crown is located at the 3H position that is easily accessible. The date and hands quickset works as it should by uncorking the crown to the first and second position and adjust accordingly.

Due to its young age, its movement was given a basic clean-up and oiled on 2 August 2026; hence it should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing / battery replacement thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

It is equipped with the excellent Ronda 515 quartz movement.

The case width and height are approximately 38.6mm (w/o crown) and 43.8mm respectively. The lug width is 20mm and the NATO strap can accommodate wrists up to 22cm thereby suitable for men and the modern women.

To the best of our experience and knowledge, everything within the case including the crown, is 100% Zodiac original. There are no aftermarket or modified parts.

The pictures provided shows the watch in near mint condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A brand-new EVA pouch is provided instead.

This is a very rare Zodiac ZO2225 Sea Dragon in stunning condition; so, be unique and own a cultish watch that is almost impossible to source in such fine condition or purchase it for that someone special instead.
