Heuer (watch) company was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer and has since gained a reputation for precision, innovation, and stylish designs.

Heuer is particularly well-known for its sports and racing-inspired watches. Models like the Carrera, Monaco, and Formula 1 are iconic in the world of motorsports. These watches often feature bold designs, durable materials, and precision movements.

Heuer has been at the forefront of horological innovations. They introduced the world's renowned Monaco Chronograph in 1969. In 1985, they unveiled the first wristwatch with a chronograph that could measure time to 1/100th of a second.

In the same year (1985), TAG Heuer was created as a result of a merger between two companies: Techniques d'Avant Garde (TAG) and Heuer who owns the majority stake in Heuer. Techniques d'Avant Garde is a Luxembourg-based company specializing in high-tech products.

Here we have the iconic Heuer 2000 Professional Series 972.006 Model with gold dial in SS case and signed bracelet. This watch was produced circa 1980 before the merger of TAG and Heuer; hence, it is a Collectible.

The iconic dial, the 3D button and baton indices, date window, hands and case are in immaculate condition because they were given a deep cleaning to bring out the true beauty hidden albeit specks of patina that is found on the dial. The hand and marker lumens are operable but not for long.

This timepiece was given an overhaul, and its movement was meticulously cleaned, and its battery replaced on 7 September 2023. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Day to day use indicates a time difference of 1 second in a week which is considered supremely excellent for a vintage quartz timepiece.

The standard shaped SS case was also given a good buff while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape and gold plating. The crystal is original and was given a good rub as well.

The signed crowd is located at the 3H position and is nicely tucked away yet easily accessible even though it has crown guards located north and south of the crown. The date and time quickset works flawlessly by uncorking the crown and pulling out to the first and second level for adjustment accordingly.

The case width and height are approximately 38mm (without crown) and 44mm respectively, and the lug width is 20mm. The bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 21cm; hence, suitable for men and the modern women.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original TAG Heuer components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition.

Even though the seals and gaskets are present, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided shows the watch case in near mint condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead OR should the Buyer wish, I can provide a TAG Heuer 2000 box and manual as part of the deal. So, take note that this box and manual did not originally come with this timepiece.

Bear in mind that this timepiece has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty. Hence, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind discontinued timepiece will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that someone special!

This Collectible timepiece is in excellent condition; so, be unique and own something that is almost impossible to source.

This is a must-have for the vintage collectible, and diver watch die-hard fans; and in fact, any serious watch collector as well!
