BIRTHDAY WATCH IS A WATCH THAT WAS PRODUCED THE SAME MONTH AND YEAR AS SOMEONE'S BIRTHDAY.

This Seiko Lady Fashion 5303P is considered a vintage and a Collectible because of its age and scarcity.

Its size was the standard female watch size of the 50s to 70s. Big watches during that period were considered boorish behaviour for both men and women.

Its Tank case design is gold-filled and the midnight black dial with gold-filled indices and hands creates a strikingly beautiful contrast.

Her 3D baton indices, dauphine hands are in near mint condition after a good clean-up.

The movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 20 October 2023. Hence, it was given a proper overhaul instead of a general servicing. It should be able to operate unhindered for the next 5 to 10 years at the very least thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Its rectangular tank shaped case was cleaned and buffed as best as possible without compromising its colour, shape and lines albeit a few minor scratches that are barely noticeable to the naked eye. The crystal is original and was also given a good rub and is now almost perfect.

The crown is located at the traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

The case width and height are approximately 19.5mm (without crown) and 36mm respectively. The lug width is 14mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 15.0cm with ease.

A brand-new, hi-quality, Bambi genuine black leather with gold buckle comes with the timepiece.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided show the watch is in very good condition. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. An aftermarket box or purposeful carrying case will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and preserved for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, BUT none as beautifully aged and as well maintained as what you see here. Another no-brainer is the fact that the value of this watch will appreciate over time.

This particular Seiko Lady Fashion 5303 timepiece is being sold here for S$ 143.00 which is extremely reasonable. 

Do also bear in mind that it will cost between S$ 180.00 to S$ 200.00 for a proper overhaul, an estimated S$ 80.00 to calibrate (depending on watch condition), and S$ 40.00 to properly clean the watch - these costs do not apply when purchasing this timepiece. So, if anyone was to sell such a timepiece at a low price yet claim that it has been serviced, one has to ask what kind of servicing was conducted, if any.

This is a beautiful timepiece that would make a beautiful present for that someone special born in October 1961.
