According to most legitimate information found online, the 76XX movement made its debut in 1963 to 1964.

Even though the Sportsmatic was meant to be a more affordable version of the Seikomatic, it was nonetheless provided with day / date capabilities, good quality movements and Applied Dial (AD) status for certain models. This is one such model what with its Deluxe status thereby additional jewels and white-gold-filled indices, hands and case.

This Seiko 5 Sportsmatic 7619-9060AD also has a hacking feature that is extremely beneficial for time synchronizing. It is also a deluxe model; thus, the additional jewels to minimise parts wear and tear, improve power reserve and timekeeping.

For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a Seiko 7619-9060 AD Deluxe 25J White-Gold-Filled in near-mint condition. This is a highly sort-after Collectible timepiece because of its rarity.

The silvery sunburst dial, 3D white-gold baton indices, dauphine hands, day/date window, and chapter ring are in near mint condition after a deep cleaning to bring out the true hidden beauty. The sunburst dial omits a beautiful rainbow hue at certain angles which is just mesmerizing.

This rare case is beautifully maintained albeit miniscule scratches are present but barely noticeable. It was nonetheless given a deep cleaning to remove most imperfections without compromising the case shape and lines. The crystal was replaced and given a good rub.

Two crowns are present at 2H and 4H. Both are nicely tucked away to prevent damage or snags yet easily accessible. The date quickset works as it should by pushing in the 2H crown. The 4H crown is for hands adjustment. There is no quickset for day adjustment, and it must be manually done via crown rotating until the correct day appears in the window. The day is only in English.

Its movement was carefully stripped, and meticulously cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 15 September 2026; hence it underwent an overhaul and should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the excellent 7619 movement, it operates at 18,000 BPH. The time-grapher, shows excellent readings of 0 seconds and amplitude of 180 with a good beat line. Such readings are exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, the meticulous care provided over the years, and the painstaking expert calibration conducted.

The case width and height are approx. 37.8mm (w/o crown) and 43.2mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 19cm; hence, suitable for men and the modern women.

The watch comes with a brand-new uber-quality Genuine Brown Reptile Italian Leather Strap with matching stitching and silver buckle for added class.

To the best of our experience and knowledge, everything within the case including the crown and glass, is 100% Seiko original. There are no aftermarket or modified parts.

Even though the seals and gaskets are intact / replaced, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided shows the watch in near mint condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A brand-new EVA pouch is provided instead.
