Officially established in 1924, Switzerland, Technos was later sold to their biggest Japanese Agent, Heiwado & Co in 1982.
Heiwado began to build their own range of automatic and quartz watches under the Technos brand with a certain level of success worldwide but mainly flourished in Japan.
In 1995, Heiwado would sell the Technos brand rights for South America and the Caribbean Islands to their biggest distributor in Brazil, Technos Relógios S.A. The entire rights for worldwide brand ownership of the Technos label was finally completed in 2002.
Technos Relógios S.A is now the owner of the Technos label worldwide and is extremely successful in Brazil and many regions worldwide.
Here we have a Limited Edition Technos Worldwide Sapphire 24K Gold Foil Dial Diamond, Model T1031. This particular model is from the Japanese ownership period of the Technos company and uses a Japanese Quartz; hence a collectible due to its scarcity.
This timepiece was given a thorough servicing, and its dial, indices and hands were meticulously cleaned, its electronic movement cleaned and touched up, demagnetised, and its battery replaced on 3 January 2024. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.
The crown is located at its traditional 3H position and is easily accessible. The original crown was damaged by its broken stem; so a hi-quality Technos crown was used as a replacement. The damaged original crown will accompany this timepiece.
Its well preserved gold case was also given a good rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape and gold finish. The mineral crystal is original and was given a good rub and is in mint condition.
The case width and height are approximately 38mm (without crown) and 43mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 20cm; hence, the watch size is suitable for men and the modern women.
A brand-new hi-quality genuine leather brown strap comes with the timepiece.
The watch is 100% original Technos components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts.
This timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.
The pictures provided shows the watch case in excellent condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.
Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.
