Officially established in 1924, Switzerland, Technos was later sold to their biggest Japanese Agent, Heiwado & Co in 1982.

Heiwado began to build their own range of automatic and quartz watches under the Technos brand with a certain level of success worldwide but flourished in Japan.

In 1995, Heiwado would sell the Technos brand rights for South America and the Caribbean Islands to their biggest distributor in Brazil, Technos Relógios S.A. The entire rights for worldwide brand ownership of the Technos label was finally completed in 2002.

Technos Relógios S.A is now the owner of the Technos label worldwide and is extremely successful in Brazil and many regions worldwide.

Here we have a Technos Classic Ceramic Tank design, model number TSM003 /TSM903GB with date display in black and gold with a ceramic sapphire finish that is extremely resistant to scratches. This particular model is from the Japanese ownership period of the Technos company and uses a Japanese Quartz; hence a collectible due to its scarcity.

This Technos is extremely sexy and oozes class what with its curved shaped ceramic sapphire glass that covers the entire watch face.

Its well preserved gold case was also given a good rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape and gold finish. The ceramic sapphire crystal is original and was given a good rub and is in mint condition.

The crown is located at its traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

This timepiece was given a thorough servicing, and its dial, indices and hands were meticulously cleaned, its electronic movement cleaned and touched up, demagnetised, and its battery replaced on 30 September 2023. It should be able to operate unhindered for the next couple of years thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

The case width and height are approximately 28mm (without crown) and 38mm respectively. The lug width is 19mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 20cm; hence, the watch size is suitable for men and the modern women.

The bracelet is a Technos bracelet originally of this watch. It is constructed from ceramic and stainless steel. It too was given a good cleaning and buffing. The links were also tightened. The result - a near mint condition bracelet.

The watch is 100% original Technos components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts.

This timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided show the watch’s case in excellent condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same models in the market, BUT almost all are not in the same quality condition and as well maintained as what you see here. Hence, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind timepiece will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone.
