Citizen Watch Co., Ltd., was founded in 1930 as the Shokosha Watch Research Institute by Japanese jeweler Kamekichi Yamazaki. The company was later renamed Citizen in 1937.pan

Here we have the Citizen 6031 Quartz Dress Watch. This is a JDM model that has a unique CAC logo that is almost impossible to find outside of Japan.

The white dial, 3D Baton Indices, and Hands are in stunning condition after a good clean-up and buff.

This well preserved gold case was also given a good clean-up and rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape. The crystal is original and was also given a good rub and is now in excellent shape.

The crown is located at its traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

The movement was carefully stripped and given a good servicing, and its dial was meticulously cleaned, its electronic movement cleaned and touched up, demagnetised, and its battery replaced on 22 September 2023. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

The case width and height are approximately 32.5mm (without crown) and 38mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 20cm; thus, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

Do take note that there are personalised engravings on the case-back. The date 30.10.1995 seems to be the anniversary date of the workplace of the previous owners workplace "Arimafuji CC.".

The strap is brand new and made from genuine leather with crocodile print. It comes with a gold buckle to match the case. 

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Citizen components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition.

This timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided show the watch’s case is in NEAR MINT condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same models in the market, BUT almost all are not in the same quality condition and as well maintained as what you see here. Hence, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind timepiece will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in October 1995!
