According to most legitimate information found online, the 76XX movement made its debut in 1963 to 1964.

Even though the Sportsmatic was meant to be a more affordable version of the Seikomatic, it was nonetheless provided with day / date capabilities, good quality movements and Applied Dial (AD) status for certain models. This is one such model what with its Deluxe status thereby additional jewels and white-gold-filled indices, hands and case.

This Seiko 5 Sportsmatic 7619-7030AD also has a hacking feature that is extremely beneficial for time synchronizing. It is also a deluxe model thus the additional jewels to minimise parts wear and tear, improve power reserve and timekeeping.

For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a Seiko 7619-7030AD Deluxe 25J White-Gold-Filled in near-mint condition. This is a highly sort-after Collectible timepiece. Its "AD" status makes it even more desirable to own, and it is almost non-existent as well.

The silvery sunburst dial, 3D baton style solid-white-gold indices, dauphine hands, day/date window, chapter ring and case are in immaculate condition after a deep cleaning to bring out the true hidden beauty. Do note that there is some patina located on the Chapter Ring at the 6H position.

This case is beautifully maintained albeit miniscule scratches are present but barely noticeable. It was nonetheless given a deep cleaning via ultrasonic immersion to remove most imperfections without compromising the case shape and lines. The crystal was replaced with an NOS hi-quality Japanese crystal.

Two crowns are present at 2H and 4H. Both are nicely tucked away to prevent damage or snags yet easily accessible. The date quickset works flawlessly by pushing in the 2H crown. The 4H crown is for hands adjustment. There is no quickset for day adjustment and it must be manually done via crown rotating until the correct day appears in the window. The day is only in English.

Its movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, oiled, re-assembled and calibrated on 13 June 2024; hence it underwent an overhaul and should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the excellent 7619 movement, it operates at 18,000 BPH. The time-grapher, after hours of calibration, shows excellent readings i.e. rate of -1 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 193 with a relatively straight and centered line! Such readings are exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve, the meticulous care provided over the years, and the painstaking expert calibration conducted.

The case width and height are approximately 37.5mm (w/o crown) and 43mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 18cm; hence, suitable for men and the modern women.

A hi-quality Milanese / Super Engineer designed SS bracelet with clasp comes with this timepiece. It too was cleaned via ultrasonic immersion and buffed.

To the best of our experience and knowledge, everything within the case including the crown and glass, is 100% Seiko original. There are no aftermarket or modified parts.

Even though the seals and gaskets are intact / replaced, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided shows the watch in excellent condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A brand new EVA pouch is provided instead.

This one-of-a-kind watch will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in February 1966, and its value will appreciate over time.
