This Omega Geneve Lady Cal 684 is an extremely rare timepiece produced by Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega. The Cal 684 was launched in 1971 to 1989. 

During the quartz revolution of the 1970s, Omega adapted by incorporating quartz movements into their range of watches. This period saw the introduction of both analog and digital quartz models, reflecting the changing preferences of the era. The 1990s saw Omega refocused on mechanical movements and traditional craftsmanship.

Omega designed watches also offers a range of watches designed specifically for women. These models often feature smaller case sizes, intricate detailing, and a mix of materials and precious stones.

Here we have an overhauled Omega Geneve Cal 684 Automatic Lady Watch in stunning condition.

A good and thorough clean-up revealed a beautiful and intricate patina dial that has created a camouflage pattern throughout the dial, making it extremely rare and pleasing to the eye.  The baton indices and dauphine hands are in near mint condition. 

Its classy and stylish silver case and bracelet were cleaned via ultrasonic immersion, and buffed as best as possible without compromising its shape, lines and brushed finish albeit a few minor scratches that are barely noticeable. The original crystal was given a good buff but minor scratches do remain.

The signed crown is located at the traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

The movement was carefully stripped and meticulously cleaned, oiled, re-assembled, and calibrated on 24 April 2024. In short, it was given a proper servicing and should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby giving the owner peace of mind.

Equipped with the high grade and highly prized 684 movement made from copper-plated beryllium-bronze, it has 24 Jewels and operate at 21,000 BPH. The time-grapher, after hours of calibration, shows stunning readings of -4 seconds every 24 hours and amplitude of 181 with a relatively straight and centered line! Such readings are exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, the meticulous care provided over the years, and expert calibration. 

The case width and height are approx. 22mm (w/o crown) and 28mm respectively. The lug width is 11mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 16cm.

The timepiece comes with its original Omega Signed SS Bracelet.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Omega components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts.

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided shows the watch in near mint condition. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A brand-new EVA pouch is provided instead.

This extremely rare watch with intricate dial will make a beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in 1971, and its value will appreciate over time.

This is a must-have for the Omega die-hard fan, and in fact, any serious watch collector for that matter!
