Beauday is a vintage timepiece that came under the Seiko umbrella during the 1950s. This watch and label no longer exists and has become a Collectible item.

It's original silvery-white dial, silver baton indices, dauphine hands, and logo are in very good condition after a proper clean-up. The crystal is original and given a good polish and is now in excellent condition albeit a few miniscule scratches.

Its Tank shaped silver case was given a good clean and buff and is now in excellent condition. The shape remains sharp and clean and do not have any dings, dents and major scratches. Miniscule scratches present are almost impossible to find as well.

The crown is located at the traditional 3H position and is neatly tucked away to prevent damage and snags, yet easily accessible. The time quickset works flawlessly by pulling out the crown to the first level to adjust the hands accordingly.

The movement was carefully stripped and given a good service and basic calibration in November 2023. Its timekeeping is excellent i.e. ± 1 minute every 24 hours, and should be able to operate unhindered for the next 5 to 10 years thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

The case width and height are approximately 20.0mm (without crown) and 30.5mm respectively. The lug width is 16mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 18cm.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko movement components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition

Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided show the watch’s case in excellent condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained This beautiful watch has been de-magnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

A truly impressive horology vintage piece I must sincerely admit; so, be unique - own and wear something that is near impossible to source in such near mint condition.

This timepiece also makes a beautiful gift to that special someone!

This is a must-have for the Seiko die-hard fan, or any vintage watch fan for that matter!
