Seiko Epson Corporation, commonly known as Seiko, acquired the Orient Watch Company in 2009. This acquisition allowed Seiko to expand its presence in the watch industry and further diversify its product offerings.
Orient Watch Company is known for its own line of watches and has a history of producing affordable and well-regarded mechanical timepieces.
This Orient from the Mont Bijou range, Model C752H6 is a discontinued model, hence it has become somewhat, a Collectible amongst the Orient faithful due to its quality, solid construction, colour scheme and accuracy.
Due to its relatively young age, this watch was only given a general servicing clean-up and calibration on 9 April 2024. Its case and bracelet were cleaned and buffed! It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.
This beautiful Tank shaped case also underwent a good rub while maintaining its super sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape. The crystal is original and was also given a good polish.
The crown with faux jewel is original and is located at the 3H position and is nicely tucked away yet easily accessible.
The case width and height are approximately 28mm (without crown) and 34mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 18cm thereabouts; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.
The Super Engineer designed bracelet is the original signed Mont Bijou bracelet that accompanied the watch. The bracelet was given a good clean-up and is extremely pleasing to the eye.
To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko / Orient components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition.
Even though the seals and gaskets are present, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.
The pictures provided shows the watch case in excellent condition and well maintained. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.
Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.
