Citizen Watch Co., Ltd., was founded in 1930 as the Shokosha Watch Research Institute by Japanese jeweler Kamekichi Yamazaki. The company was later renamed Citizen in 1937.

Here we have the Citizen Junction Eco-Drive E100-K48314-KA Quartz Dress Watch. This model is a JDM and is very rare outside of Japan when first launched. It is even rarer now.

The dial, 3D Gold Baton Indices, Sword Hands and Day/Date window are in stunning condition after a good clean-up.

This timepiece was given a good servicing, and its dial was meticulously cleaned, its electronic movement cleaned and touched up, demagnetised, and its capacitor battery replaced on 6 August 2024. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

This well preserved silver case was also given a good rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape and gold-filling. The crystal is original and was also given a good rub and is now in excellent shape.

The crown is located at its traditional 3H position and is easily accessible.

The case width and height are approx. 35.9mm (w/o crown) and 43.3mm respectively. The lug width is 19mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 17cm; thus, suitable for men and women.

The Super Engineer designed SS bracelet is original and Citizen Signed. It too was given a good deep cleaning and buff.

To the best of our knowledge while overhauling this timepiece, the watch is 100% original Citizen components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts.

Even though all seals and gaskets are in place, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided shows the watch in stunning condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.
