According to reliable online sources, Seiko introduced the 7C46-7009 circa 1985/1986. It was the first Seiko Diver's with a 1000M Depth Resistance and was aptly nicknamed the Golden Tuna.

This Golden Tuna continued to use a ceramic outer shroud and was designed for saturation diving without a helium escape valve. It also comes with a one-piece Monocoque Case thereby the case-back is non-removable, so it opens from the front, and this improves by minimising fewer leak points; hence, better pressure resistance. The titanium case further helps with the weight and improved durability.

For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is an August 1987 Seiko Golden Tuna 7C46-7009 in stunning condition. 

This beautifully shaped silver case was given a good clean-up and rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curve. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape. The lumens are operable! Cool!

The crystal is original and was given a good rub as well albeit scratches do remain. The case-back has a name, Sayama, with a date 8 August 1987 - perhaps a gift?

The quartz movement was given a standard clean-up, and the battery remains operable for up to 5 years. The crown has been uncorked to prevent battery drainage. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery replacement thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

The case width and height are approximately 48.8mm (without crown) and 48.9mm respectively. The lug width is 22mm, and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 21cm; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

The strap is a Brand-New FKM Silicon Rubber Black Strap with Silver Buckle.

To the best of our knowledge, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts.

Even though the seals and gaskets are present, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.

The pictures provided show the watch in stunning condition and well maintained. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty.

Yes, there are many other same models in the market, but almost all are not in the same quality condition and is well maintained as what you see here.
