Edouard Heuer founded the company in 1860 in St-Imier, Switzerland. He initially focused on manufacturing chronographs, pocket watches, and dashboard timers for cars and aircraft.

Heuer patented the oscillating pinion in 1887, a crucial innovation in chronograph design that simplified the construction of chronograph movements. This invention is still used in many mechanical chronographs today.

Heuer became involved in motorsports early on, providing timing equipment for events. In 1911, the company patented its first dashboard chronograph, the "Time of Trip," designed for automobiles and aircraft.

In 1916, Heuer introduced the Mikrograph - the world's first stopwatch with a precision of 1/100th of a second.

The Autavia dashboard timer was introduced in 1933. It later became the inspiration for a wristwatch collection.

Heuer also produced the first waterproof case for a dashboard chronograph in 1950. This innovation contributed to the development of water-resistant wristwatches.

The iconic Carrera collection was introduced in 1963, named after the Carrera Panamericana, a dangerous race in Mexico. The Carrera has become one of TAG Heuer's most recognized and enduring models.

In 1985, TAG Group acquired Heuer, leading to the creation of the TAG Heuer brand. This acquisition marked a new era for the company, combining Swiss watchmaking with advanced technology.

TAG Heuer then introduced several successful collections in the late 20th century, including the S/el (later renamed the Link) and the Formula 1 series. These collections became popular for their sporty designs and technological features.

Here we have the iconic TAG Heuer 6000 Professional Series 964.013 Model with grey green dial in SS case and signed bracelet. The 6000 series is AKA as the "Prestigious Sports Watch Series" because of its usage of more company logos, a more intricate bezel and a better quality SS bracelet etc.

The iconic dial, the 3D baton style silver indices, date window, hands and case are in immaculate condition because they were given a deep cleaning to bring out the true beauty hidden. The hand and marker lumens are operable but not for long.

The signed crown is original and is located at the 3H position and is nicely tucked away between crown guards located north and south of the crown yet easily accessible. The date and time quickset work flawlessly by uncorking the crown and pulling out to the first and second level for adjustment accordingly.

This timepiece was given an overhaul, and its movement was meticulously cleaned, and its battery replaced on 7 September 2023. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery change thereby providing the owner peace of mind.

The standard shaped SS case was also given a good buff while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Most imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape. The crystal is original and was given a good rub as well.

The case width and height are approximately 38mm (without crown) and 44mm respectively. The lug width is 20mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 21cm; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women.

To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original TAG Heuer components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified thereby it is considered in near MINT condition.

Even though the seals and gaskets are present, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested.

The pictures provided show the watch’s case in almost perfect condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead.

Bear in mind that this timepiece has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life, and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty. Hence, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind discontinued timepiece will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone!

This timepiece is in excellent condition; so, be unique and own something that is almost impossible to source.

This is a must-have for the vintage collectible, and diver watch die-hard fans; and in fact, any serious watch collector as well!
