It marked the beginning of the Quartz Revolution that led to the decline of traditional mechanical watches in the market and the rise of more accurate and later, more affordable quartz timepieces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeiko's Quartz Astron was showcased at the Baselworld watch fair in Switzerland in 1970, where it received international attention and acclaim because this watch change horology history forever.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere we have an all-time favourite Seiko Type II White Dial Quartz, Model 0903-600 with Arabic numerals and baton hands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis timepiece was given a good servicing, and its dial was meticulously cleaned, its electronic movement cleaned and touched up, demagnetised, and its battery replaced on 9 June 2026. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next battery replacement thereby providing the owner peace of mind. The crown was uncorked to preserve the battery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIts well-preserved case was also given a good rub while maintaining its sharp lines and sexy curves. Many imperfections were removed without compromising the case shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe crystal was replaced and is now in mint condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe crown is located at its traditional 3H position and is easily accessible. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe case width and height are approximately 35.6mm (without crown) and 41.6mm respectively. The lug width is 22mm and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 18cm; hence, the watch size is suitable for men and the modern women.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn original Seiko-Signed Super Engineer SS Bracelet accompanies this timepiece. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pictures provided show the watch in excellent condition and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear + tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box.
